Working on a Piece about the Olympics Online – your thoughts appreciated
Hello gentle readers – apologies for the lack of posts lately. I have been battling both a little summer cold and some pressing deadlines. The good news is both seem to be fairly resolved (the cold is nearly gone and all but one of my urgently over-due to-do’s is complete).
And with my wealth of sudden free time I started putting some of my own commentary on the Olympics coverage together. Obviously many have been writing this up online already, but who doesn’t want to chime in on a hot topic? Not sure if you’re still working on this, but you still want a good story? Talk to the execs at Digital Rapids — these are the guys providing all the encoding gear for live streaming at NBCOlympics.com. They tell an interesting story on all the challenges (physical and technical) that the IBC placed on them.
