Interview on ZIO with Joe Rubin

Posted by andybeach under: Interviews .

I helped launch zoom In Online as part of my last job. It was exciting getting it up and running. It’s always sad to leave behind a project, even when its to start something as exciting as my job @ Inlet. That’s why I was very happy to find a way to bring the two together! Inlet is co-producing a series of Technology podcasts with ZIO and the first one went live yesterday:

Technology Today: Frontline’s iWitness | Zoom In - News, Events, Training and Community for Creatives

The goal of the series is to highlight technology in creative areas that has an impact on the production. This first one is definitely that - Joe Rubin at Frontline has begun capturing video ichats and skype conversations to then tell their stories of events around the world. This approach allows them to really have a wider coverage and a way more personal touch. In addition to that, they’ve been able to explore Second Life and it’s impact with journalist Bernard Drax. Bernhard and I were both mentors at the producer’s institutue at BAVC in June, which is where we met Joe.

Have a listen & enjoy!
